At The Music Room we have repaired some wrecks in our time, for example, instruments that have been damaged by clumsy airport baggage handlers, or that have fallen out of buildings and even off the back of a fast moving motorbike. Ask Derek about that one!

We have a small dedicated team of craftsmen and luthiers that work daily on lots of different musical instruments from re stringing guitars to removing the front of violins to tuning accordion reeds to completely rebuilding the bass end of 120 bass 5 voice accordions.

We are able to do this because our team has unrivalled experience and includes one of the partners of Oakwood Instruments who were chosen as far back as Expo 88 in Australia to represent Great Britain's Instruments makers on the world scene, another of our team includes a free reed repairer with over 30 years experience in tuning and repairing accordions, we are lucky that one of our team has had over 40 years experience setting up guitars, banjos, bouzoukis, citterns, ukulele, mandolin and autoharps for one of the UK's leading wholesale distributors, between us all our team play what we sell and know how it should sound and feel and finally and very importantly we all care about you the customer and the traditional music culture.
