This melodeon (or "button accordion" if you're Irish!) is also known as the "Black Dot". It is similar in appearance to the Erica melodeon and almost exclusively available in a Red finish only. Fully chromatic on the right hand it is a versatile instrument and is favoured by many Irish style players.
If there is such a thing, this is the Ford Focus of the melodeon world. Thousands of people own them world wide, they hardly ever go wrong and they are really cheap and easy to fix if they do go wrong which is hardly ever.. We are still servicing Hohner Double Ray melodeons that are well over 20 years old, so I guess it's probably more like a Vauxhall Nova
