An Eastman MD315 our lowest price ever on a Hand Carved Mandolin
The first thing that strikes me about the MD315 mandolin is the finish; satin finished mandolins from Eastman, some customers have described the effect as 'oiled finish'. Tastily done and looks amazing!
The 300 series is, as described by Eastman Mandolins themselves, the 500 series without the deluxe finishing touches. Hence the matt satin finish, standard Korean mandolin tailpiece and Korean mandolin machine heads etc. However, that said they are fully hand carved and finished on the same workshop benches as the higher up the range Eastman Mandolin models. Because of this, as you might expect, the tone and playability are excellent
The Eastman MD-315 you could pay twice the price for half the sound.
