A very nice Stradivarius pattern violin, made in France at the turn of the Century. Lovely rich varnish of an even earthy brown colour on a golden ground protects a good top of fine to medium grained spruce and figured maple back, sides and neck. The scroll is delicately carved and of rather petite dimensions.
Plays well with good bright trebles and appreciable warmth in the lower register. Very nice indeed.
