This hard-shell 5 string banjo case is based on a carcase of birch ply wood for strength and rigidity. The plush soft cushioned lined interior offers extreme protection to your banjo, with extra cushioning placed at import areas to protect the rear of the resonator, the banjo neck and the top of the head and banjo bridge area.
Inside the banjo case there is a very handy accessory compartment to keep spare strings and things like capo and electronic tuners.
The case is covered in black Tolex type leather-look vinyl and is externally slightly convexed above the resonator for extra protection.. For your information Tolex is a trade name given to the sort of material Fender and Rickenbacker cover guitar cases and amplifier cabinets with due to its very strong wear resistant properties.
The HC1014 5 string banjo case as other external hardware which includes 4 metal feet to protect the banjo case when stood on end and 3 metal feet attached to the base when on the floor in the "to be opened" position. The other important hardware to mention is the 5 nickel plated catches which provide a secure fastening to hold the lid firmly in place, one of the latches also locks with the supplied key. We must also mention the 2 D ring handle brackets that are secured via 4 fixing points which position the leather feel strong carrying handle.
This is a slightly deeper case than the average and will fit a wider range of instruments include Mastertone style banjos.
