Violin after Stradivarius, German c1885

A good Pre McKinnley tarrif act, German violin made to the classic Stradivarius pattern. Lovely 2 piece back of very attractive flamed maple. Matching ribs and Neck and a good quality spruce top of fine grain. Rich red-umber oil varnish.

Classic well balanced Stradivarius sound with no real peaks or troughs in it's range - Very even tone throughout. Good dynamic range. This violin is a good all rounder and will be equally at home in a wide variety of musical styles. Strung with Thomastik Dominant strings.
