The Ozark 2222 'Romania' manufactured Bouzouki is exceptional value. Sometimes listed on web sites as The 'Romania' OB100-S it is an all solid hand built and finished product from the biggest instrument making factory in Romania. The timber is sourced from sustainable local supplies and the back and sides of the bouzouki are made from solid maple, whilst the soundboard is solid spruce. The soundboard has a traditional mandolin marquetry inset around the sound-hole of walnut and maple. Other benefits include a 2 footed maple and ebony bridge and a maple neck with slotted headstock. The back facing open-plate geared tuners are simple but effective. Its hard to believe that this low price Ozark Bouzouki can project the excellent tone and volume that it does. The entire bouzouki is then coated in a matt durable modern lacquer finish.
