Hohner Chromonica 260/40 was the blueprint chromatic harmonica upon which all other chromatics are based.
The high quality of workmanship and material ensure an excellent sound. The harmonica comb is made of pearwood. The models of the Chromonica Harmonica Series are especially well suited for use in harmonica orchestras, but are also popular as solo instruments and are a very popular instrument amongst traditional harmonica musicians having features such as air preserving valves for greater tone and volume together with chrome plated covers nailed in the time honoured harmonica tradition.
The Chromonica 260/40 is a ten-holed chromatic harmonica, first developed in 1911 and apart from a few minor modifications it remains the same tried and tested workhorse it always has been and is the blue print for all chromatic harmonicas that follow.
With a range of two and a half octaves the 40 is for the number of reeds inside the instrument. Nickel plated cover plates with nailed reed plates to a pear wood body as is traditional in instruments of this quality
Like all better chromatic harmonicas a case is included.
